3. We did not want to be shipper/receiver people. This ruled out businesses like Tupperware which ship customer orders to you.

4. We did not want to handle customer money. Anyone can open a crredit card account or a pay pal account, but we did not want the bookkeeping issues that attend customer cash.

5. We wanted a product line that was well established and held a high reputation. We avoided trendy items and looked at solid lines such as health care and beauty products.

6. We wanted a business that would allow us to work at own rate and would let us our own goals. After all, isn't that big goal of any small business?

7. It was important that we have a degree of live-person help to get us started. We were new and needed that kind of support behind us. But we did not want simple at-home jobs.

Do these businesses exist? Of course they do. In our case it was in front of us for a long time.
